We Tried! Why Didn't They?
Well, the Nats did not fair well tonight, but I will get to that later.
K (one of the girls) and I desperately wanted to watch the Nats game tonight. We tried everything. First, the tv in our apartment isn't working. "No prob," we think. There is a community room with a television and MASN 2 in our building. We show up at the community room only to find there is a private party until 8 pm. Okay, that is fine. We will go to one of our favorite bars in the neighborhood to watch the game. We walk to the bar and bad news-- the bar is only showing the Orioles game. What the heck! Now, we have to get creative. There is a tv in the McDonalds. That will work, Micky D's until 8, then to the community room. McDonalds-- nope, they don't have MASN 2. Ugh, no game yet. By then, it is 8:20 pm, the party in the community room should be over. We go to the room and big surprise, the party is not over. Now, we are really desperate. We try the gym, but people are busy "feeling the burn!" In the end, thanks to the Nationals website, we watch Gameday on our laptops and listen to the Post radio station. Even better we have a lovely evening on our balcony with a little white wine-- a game like this one requires something like this.
As for the game, the Nats had similar luck. The game ended with a 9-3 loss. So sad... I don't even want to talk about it. Instead, let's look at some great pics of the Nats. First, Manny Acta has to be the best manager in the League. Next, Ryan Zimmerman-- we know he likes to play in the dirt, so this pic is no surprise. And finally, Ryan Wagner, he may not have pitched well tonight, but he seems like a nice guy in this picture.
Okay, so I have avoided the Nats problems tonight, but let us hope this is not necessary tomorrow.
